The director of horticulture of the Jihad Agricultural Organization said:
it is predicted that about 30,000 tons of crops will be harvested from the vineyards by the end of the harvest season.

Houshang Karami added:
Malayer city, with more than 10 thousand hectares of vineyards,
is one of the main grape production areas in the country and the center of production of this product in Hamadan province.

Karami said that the main fields of grape consumption in the province are fresh food, raisins production, juice and basil.

He continued:
Currently, there are 700 licensed grape dryers in the province and 49 raisins cleaning workshops with a capacity of 50,000 tons are active in the province.

Karami pointed out:
more than 40,000 tons of raisins are produced annually in Hamedan province, of which about 30,000 tons are exported abroad.

The director of horticulture of Jihad Keshavarzi of Hamedan province, referring to the need to improve and replace traditional orchards, said:
Grape orchards are also included in this project and we plan to implement this project in more than five thousand and 900 hectares
of nurseries in the province during the fourth program. Let’s say that 1,500 hectares of this work has been done so far.

In the end, he added:
in order to improve the quality of raisins in the province, in addition to the development of drying grape orchards,
the preparation and distribution of grape and raisins health baskets is on the agenda, which is funded by development credits and bank facilities.
