Khoy carpet is a light rural carpet that is woven in Khoy region located in West Azarbaijan province in northwestern Iran. In this carpet, symmetrical knots are used with cotton thread and woolen lint. Yellow, cream, and red are common colors of Khoy rugs.

Khoy carpet has enjoyed a great variety of designs and roles during the contemporary period. The design of those rugs often consisted of geometric shapes and some simply simple designs of nature. Since at first, the production of carpets was not workshop and centralized, so each weaver, according to his taste and taste, chose a special design and color.
