The problems in our society are in the two sectors of culture and industry, which are also supporting each other, and as a result,
the way to save society is production and deeper and more attention to the category of industry.

Ahmad Sadeghian, a carpet artisan, said:
The government needs deep and rooted attention to industry, and it is the way to build a society and a country of products,
which will eliminate many of the society’s problems, including unemployment and its complications.

Regarding the carpet industry in the country, he acknowledged:
The existing production capacity of machine-made carpets is currently over 100 million meters according to the existing machines,
but about 50 to 60 million square meters are produced in the country.

The craftsman stated that currently handmade carpets are produced in the country about 10 million square meters, clarified:
the export of handmade carpets has decreased from 1.5 billion tomans per year to 500 million tomans, ie to one third.

He added:
Due to the unkindness that was done about this carpet industry in the past, in a few years, Pakistan, Turkey,
China and India took the world market of handmade carpets from us to some extent.

Pointing out that Iranian carpet is still the best and highest quality carpet in the world, Sadeghian acknowledged:
Nowhere in the world is carpet known better than Iranians due to Iranian culture and they can never compete with Iranian designers.

The craftsman continued:
Machinery and technology manufacturing facilities are available in Europe, especially in Belgium and Germany,
but Iranian workers and engineers have many ideas that machines built using these perspectives.

Sadeghian mentioned machine-made carpets as a consumer good and needed by the society and added:
about 90% of machine-made carpet products are consumed in the country.

He added:
Handmade carpets have improved their position as an art and handicrafts and a valuable commodity.

The artisan stated:
The country has the ability to export machine-made carpets, but it needs infrastructure in this field,
and with the help of artists and the ideas and thoughts of engineers, we can, just as we have the world hand-made carpet market,
also acquire machine-made carpets.
